Deboned Oxtail Pie

Ingredients for Oxtail:

  • Oxtail
  • Flour
  • Paprika
  • Pepper

Method:

  • Mix all above ingredients together and roast in the oven for 45 min at 180c.

Ingredients for stew:

  • Onions ( diced )
  • Roasted oxtail
  • Carrots ( roughly chopped )
  • Tomato paste
  • Garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for cooking
  • Whole grain mustard
  • Hp sauce
  • Bovril

Method:

  • In a pot with cooking oil heat up the oil when heated add inions garlic, whole grain mustard the tomato paste then the roasted oxtail stir well till everything has combined add water and let everything cook together for at least 2hrs or the meat falls of the bone add hp sauce, Bovril remove from the heat and take the oxtail out from the gravy then remove meat from the bone.

Ingredients for pastry:

  • Flour
  • Butter ( melted )
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika

Method:

  • Mix all the ingredients together to make a stiff dough set in the fridge for 10 min to cool. Remove pastry from the fridge and shape them in a tin then blind bake in the oven till cooked after put aside to cool off when cooled of take the deboned oxtail meat and place in the cooked pastry add a bit of the gravy and serve.
