The Importance Of Therapy

Posted by: Leopard mountain lodge

I’d like to elaborate on why therapy is important but before I do I would like you to understand the term “Somatology”. Firstly Somatology is the study of the skin and body in a holistic manner. To be a professional, qualified Somatologist, one would need a thorough study of about 3 or 4 years. A Somatologists role is to ensure that treatments performed will assist the body to return to its normal state. Leopard Mountain Game Lodge fortunately has two qualified Somatologists.

Holistic healing means taking a holistic approach when seeking treatment for imbalances and choosing to live a more balanced lifestyle. According to Phylameana Lila Desy (famous holistic healer), what primarily distinguishes holistic healing apart from alternative medicines is that physical health is not necessarily the main focus. It is often the experience of physical discomfort that will first prompt a person’s pursuit to holistic healing and although alternative medicines are important too, especially in fights against diseases, holistic healing addresses all parts of the individual, not just the physical aspect.

We need to remember that holistic healing is a lifestyle approach. A holistic therapist will recognize that your discomforts or pains are merely symptoms of an imbalance. This could be due to a physical issue, abusing the physical body through an unhealthy lifestyle, lack of exercise, lack of sleep or the imbalance may be due to mental, emotional or spiritual needs not being met. Bear in mind that not every therapist is a “holistic therapist.” We live in a country that is invaded by “fly by night” colleges as well as “fly by night” courses. Choose wisely and know your therapist. Below are a few types of healing therapies/treatments:

– Aromatherapy
– Natural diet
– Exercise
– Homeopathy
– Acupuncture
– Bodywork
– Energy- based therapies

There are many different holistic products out there but my personal favourite is our product choice at Leopard Mountain Game Lodge – Africology. Africology was invented by Holistic healer, Dr. Renchia. She was originally from Germany but resided in South Africa for many years where she healed numerous people who suffered the tragedy of Post-apartheid. As it goes German cultures are great with ingredients and South Africa is blessed with some of the best healing ingredients in the world.

Dr. Renchia experimented with some of these ingredients and made products that were then used to heal people. Realizing how people were benefiting from her holistic therapies, she then decided to form a product brand and named it Africology; she calls her brand “healing in a bottle” which is exactly what it is. Africology is the best 100% natural product that a therapist could ever work with and is absolutely result orientated. Africology does not only benefit the clients, we as therapists benefit as well by using this phenomenal product on a daily basis. The proof is in the product and the professional and fortunately at Leopard Mountain, we are blessed to offer both.
