With the incredible African summer heat, what else can one think of enjoying other than a delicious frozen treat to cool off? Ice cream or sorbet, here at Leopard Mountain we do it extra! Allow me to share with you our recent “Crowd Pleaser” this past New Years’ Eve.
- A fresh watermelon (whole)
- 2 Cups castor sugar
- 1 Cup honey
- Cut and cube your whole watermelon and place in a bowl. Place all three ingredients into a blender and blend until well combined. Pass the mixture through sieve or strainer to get rid of seeds – if preferred without. And wallah! Your sorbet is ready for freezing. Freeze for a day or two before serving. Seconds will definitely be requested, trust me…
